Description
Borisovsky Pond is the largest ancient reservoir in Moscow. The area of the water surface is 75.55 hectares, the depth is 1.5-2.5 m. It closes the cascade of the Tsaritsyn ponds, separated from the Lower pond by the Shipilovskaya dam. The stretch is fed by ground and surface waters. The reservoir is crossed by the Kashirskoe highway. Between Borisovskiye Prudy Street and Shipilovskiy Proezd on the bank of Borisovskiy Pond there is a park of the same name, which is a continuation of the park in Tsaritsyno. On the southern bank are the Church of the Life-Giving Trinity and the Church of the Trinity in Borisov.
