Description
The building of the Imperial Baths was built in 1878-1880 by Anton Singer, a St. Petersburg millionaire of Austro-Hungarian origin. The magnificent Neo-Renaissance building was designed by the architect and later mayor of Franzensbad, Gustav Wiedermann. Since 2004, a statue of Emperor Franz Joseph I, based on a design by Josef Pekárek, has been placed in front of the entrance to the building, which until 1919 adorned the interior of the Prague Central Station.
