Gothic style building from 1868, designed by R. L. Roumieu.2017 - Refurbished by The Thackeray Estate to the designs of Trehearne Architects. In the Middle Ages, Eastcheap was the main meat market in the City. However, by the 19th century, the Industrial Revolution had transformed the area with offices and warehousing replacing the butchers’ stalls.
