Fort Morgan, which lies on the old Overland Trail, has a fantastic free history museum. The Fort Morgan Museum traces the area`s history from the Pawnee and other Plains Indians to the town`s settlement years and beyond. The museum includes permanent and temporary local history exhibits, including photos and artifacts, events, and a short video about Glenn Miller, who lived in Fort Morgan during his high school years and began developing his swing band sound as a member of the high school band.
