A picture of a Yak captured during the Singalila round trek from Uttarey. Yak are known to survive only in the Himalayas at an altitude above 3000 meters. They are stronger than ordinary bulls and are expensive to buy. Yak are generally reared for wool and Milk, butter, and cheese which is considered to be unique, and their demand is higher in the market.
