Panoramic view of the main crater of Mt. Vulcano, located on the Eolian Isles north of Sicily, Italy. The yellowish fuming rocks is where the brimstone surfaces. In ancient roman legends, Vulcano is home to the god of smithing, named Vulcanos (resp. Hephaistos in greek). In the background, you can make out the secondary crater called Vulcanello and the island of Lipari.
