Description
Clemency and David McIlvoy are local celebrities in Arvada/Denver. Their house, built in 1897, now is the home of the Historic Olde Town Association of Arvada. When - in 2013 - a gust of wind blew away a huge cottonwood tree in the garden of their house, the Historic Society commissioned local sculptor David Leon Mitchell to use the tree for a commemorative sculpture of Clemency McIlvoy.
