Lake Manasarovar lies at 4,590m above sea level and is fed by the Kailash Glaciers. Like Mount Kailash, the lake is revered as a sacred place in four religions: Bön, Buddhism, Hinduism and Jainism and attracts pilgrims from India, Nepal, Tibet and the rest of the world.
