Tanzhe Temple is located at the foot of Tanzhe Mountain in the southeast of Mentougou District, Beijing, more than 30 kilometers away from the city center.ÃÂ Tanzhe Temple was first built in the first year of Yongjia in the Western Jin Dynasty 307AD. It was originally named jiafu Temple. Emperor Kangxi of the Qing Dynasty gave it the name of Xiu Yun Temple.ÃÂ Because there are dragon pools behind the temple and cudrania trees on the hill, it is called `Tan Zhe Si` among the people.ÃÂ There is a folklore saying that `Tan Zhe Si first followed by Beijing`.ÃÂ The whole temple building according to the terrain and clever layout, sitting south, towering ancient trees, pagoda forest, towering temple, beautiful environment.
