Description
The foundation of the Church of St. Anthony of Orleans took place in 1879, by the colony of Poles the original name of the neighborhood was New Poland. Even today, this ethnic group prefers to carry out the weddings of their descendants in this small and beautiful church, richly decorated internally, and located on the margins of Highway BR 277. Next to the church, there is a small cemetery. The church has a single tower, whose bells were donated by D. Pedro II, Emperor of Brazil.
