Butre fishing village in southern Ghana (western Africa). A young boy runs across the village pulling his toy car, made from small tree branches interconnected by small lemon fruits. Wheels are made from old metal food tanks. People in Butre are poor and totally dependent on fishing in the sea and in a nearby Butre river. Slowly, touristic industry is growing in the region, but the number of tourists is small. The majority of fishermen do not benefit from foreign visitors as most tourists stay and eat in a nearby lodge. However, the community is starting to offer local attractions such as river trips and walking to nearby interest spots.
