Description
St Patricks church, built on a hill at Preston Patrick, in Cumbria, England. This church, built in local limestone, dates back to 1852. An original chapel on the site dates to the 1500,s, and was dedicated to St Gregory. This grade 2 listed building, is clearly visible from the M6 motorway, about a half mile away, and the cross surmounting the spire is illuminated at night, for travellers on the motorway. This image shows one of the ancient footpaths that cross the field to the site.
