Archimedean screw in side view - inventor Archimedes in the antiquity third century before Christ - one of the oldest forms of usage energy is the physical strength of human and animal. The Archimedean wheel is a treadmill with four metres diameter which is activated through muscle power. A sprocket is boosting the Archimedean screw which is pumping water of a basin to a higher located basin.
