Fisheye View of Neue Synagogue in Berlin, Germany #229569632
Description
This ultra-wide angle view encompasses the historic Neue New Synagogue in Berlin, Germany, and the surrounding buildings on Oranienburger Strasse. It is a traditional, Masorti temple, which opened in 1859. It was designed by architect Eduard Knoblauch in a Moorish revival style. The synagogue was damaged by the Nazis before and during World War Two and has been restored. It is still a functioning house of worship and its dome and towers remain a one-of-a kind tourist attraction for Berlin, as most Jewish worshipers of today prefer more modern architecture and ritual observance.
