Description
Before the mass produced automobile and need for the Interstate Highway Systems, we had the Transcontinental Railroad. The Southern Pacific Transportation grew out of this, and by 1900 was a major part of the whole system. The Southern Pacific moved into this building in 1907, occupying most of the upper portion of the building, with retail shops along the street level.The Southern Pacific occupied this building, under one name or another, until 1998, and now it is once again retail shops on the street level, with various offices upstairs.As seen September 2021.
