Dongfanghong square is located between Hunan University and Yuelu Academy in University Town of Changsha , Hunan Province. In the center of the square stands a tall statue of Mao Zedong with a base. In front of the statue are grass, steps, flower beds, etc. the statue takes the marble wall as the background, hung with red slogans, and the surrounding trees are shady and lush. It is a good place for courtesy and leisure.
