Peacock butterfly is a solitary species that has an open population. Individuals of the species are capable of long-distance migration. During the summer, males defend their territories mostly in the afternoon, but this is not the case in the autumn, when they spend most of their time eating, exposing themselves to the sun`s rays, migrating and searching for potential places to overwinter.
