Pink Jequitibá in a native tree of the Atlantic Forest in Jardim Botânico, founded in 1928, botanical project carried out by naturalist Frederico Carlos Hoehne. Before, the region was used to supply the Ipiranga neighborhood of the city of São Paulo. That same year, Frederico created the Orquidário de São Paulo, considered the starting point of the garden. However, it was only in 1938, with the creation of the São Paulo Department of Botany, that the space was definitively made official
