Rosses point beach is located 8km from sligo town and is a 2km stretch of fine sand backed by sand dunes.it is set on The Wild Atlantic way,there are lovely views Knocknarea and Benbulben.Views extend out to Coney island Oyster island.The area is a haven for wildlife such as dolphns,porpoises,and basking sharks.the bay is popular with windsurfers.The wrecks of 3 ships from the Spanish Armada in 1588 were found offshore in 1985.
