Summerhill state forest land. Otisco Lake, which is the easternmost of New York`s eleven Finger Lakes. The Town`s picturesque countryside, with its rolling hills and mountainous terrain, is rural, dotted with homes, family farms and small businesses. Summer Hill State Forest encompasses 4,419 acres of dense forest land. Some of the more popular recreational activities include hunting, trapping, wildlife viewing, snowmobiling and horseback riding. There are no specifically designated hiking trails on this property but hiking is allowed anywhere on state forests unless posted otherwise.
