An idyllic scene of mountains and the smooth water of the Caledonian Canal by the lock gates at Inverlochy in the Scottish Highlands. The canal was built in the nineteenth century by the Victorian Thomas Telford andwas a great feat of engineering. Now it is used mostly by holiday boats.
