Church of St. Anna in Kodeni is a Roman Catholic church,built between 1629 and 1635 on the site of an old wooden church in Kodeni,Lublin Voivodeship. The building was built under the leadership of Prince Sapega in the late Renaissance style. In 1657 the temple was plundered by the Swedes,the bells were stolen,the lead roof was removed. In 1680,the building was badly damaged by fire,after which it was only by 1686 that it was reconstructed and consecrated again. From April 1875 to 1917,it housed an Orthodox church. In 1917,the Orthodox domes were removed from the towers and the temple became Roman Catholic again. In 1941,the building was damaged again in a fire. To date,the interior of the Church of St. Anne has been renewed after restoration. The large oval dome on the ceiling is decorated with elegant stucco molding,the main altar of the church is decorated with the image of the Mother of God of Kodenskaya. There are also more than a dozen portraits of the Sapega family. The side altars were installed between 1932 and 1947. The church contains the relics of St. Stephen.
