Description
Great Gully Lower Falls is on a Nature Conservancy land trail located near Union Springs, NY. The Lower Falls is about 7 feet high and 40 feet wide with a large plunge pool that attracts swimmers on hot summer days. Glacially formed Great Gully Gorge and the Lower Falls has a limestone ledge and creek bed with mixed hardwood and hemlock trees. The falls is located in the Fingerlakes region of New York State on Cayuga Lake. The trail is used for hiking, walking, nature trips, and bird watching and is best used from June until August.
