Ecological Trail `Stolbovskaya, Kunashir Island, Russia Stock Photo

On the ecological path `Stolbovskaya` you can see a unique old-growth forest, which has caught the ancient inhabitants of Kunashir - Ainu, giant trees that cannot be grasped alone, dense thickets of bamboo and grasses above human height. In total, more than 200 species of plants are described on the trail – mosses, lichens, ferns, coniferous and flowering of various life forms – grasses, lianas, shrubs and trees, of which 30 species are listed in the Red Book of Russia.
