Description
An enormous expanse of a reed bed, on the Somerset levels in Southern England, consisting of common reed. This bed was once used for peat extraction, and the resulting hollow naturally filled with rainwater, to complete the perfect habitat for these Common reed. Reed beds are complex botanically, and harbour many invertebrates and birds. This is a springtime view.
