Young William Shakespeare brought before Sir Thomas Lucy on a charge of poaching. William Shakespeare was an English playwright, poet and actor, widely regarded as the greatest writer in the English language and the world`s greatest dramatist. He is often called England`s national poet and the `Bard of Avon`. It has always been known that Shakespeare was a huge influence on Milton ââ¬â in his poem On Shakespeare, Milton calls him a ââ¬Åson of Memoryââ¬Â and ââ¬Ågreat heir of fameââ¬Â, writing of how ââ¬ÅThou in our wonder and astonishment / Hast built thyself a live-long monument.ââ¬Â
