Title
Mrs. Macquarie's Chair - Sydney, Australia #235655580
Description
In 1810, Lachlan Macquarie, Governor of New South Wales, had convicts hand carve the sandstone in the shape of a bench for his wife, Elizabeth Macquarie. Mrs. Macquarieââ¬â¢s Chair is located just outside the gates to the Royal Botanical Gardens and overlooks Mrs. Macquarieââ¬â¢s point. I took this photo looking at the exact spot that Mrs. Macquarie used to sit.
