Kamchia River near the village of Salmanovo #235666653
Description
Kamchia is formed by the confluence of the rivers Golyama and Luda Kamchia. Golyama Kamchia is conditionally considered to be the main river. It springs under the name Ticha from the steep, deciduous forests of the southern slopes of Lisa Mountain, Eastern Fore-Balkans. At first, its path winds east-northeast through the hilly region of Gerlovo. Significantly increased by numerous small tributaries, it forms a picturesque gorge through the Preslav Mountains and under the name Golyama Kamchia enters the hilly Preslav-Smyadovsko field, Eastern Danube plain.
