Description
The Bulgarian people`s home knows two types of roofs - four-pitched and two-pitched. The gabled roof is typical for the ground floor dwelling, for the shepherd`s huts, while the other dwellings most often have a four-pitched roof. As a roofing material is used rye or reed straw Dobrudja, Vratsa region, stone slabs - tikli, single-story tiles, also called `gypsy tiles`, `Turkish tiles`. In the mountainous areas the houses are covered with beech boards, called shindi Teteven region.
