The Roman Amphitheatre in Malaga has been constructed in the first century during the reign of Augustus. It is one of the oldest Roman theatres in the Iberian Peninsula. For centuries, it remained buried under the ground and it was only in 1951 that it was discovered. It is located at the foot of the Alcazaba.
