Oberwesel is a small town in Mittelrheintal. The medieval history is still very visible within the town and at the city walls. The heritage date back even further, to Roman times and even archeological site from the La-Tène era. Nowadays tourism has become a major factor for the Middle Rhine valley town. Surrounded by vineyards there are still wineries, but more touristic wine tasting bars and restaurant.
