Bunaken is an 8.08 km² island in Manado Bay, located north of the island of Sulawesi, Indonesia. This island is part of the city of Manado, the capital of the province of North Sulawesi, Indonesia. Bunaken Island can be reached by speed boat or chartered boat with a journey of about 30 minutes from the port of Manado city. Around the island of Bunaken there is the Bunaken marine park which is part of the Bunaken National Park. This marine park has one of the highest marine biodiversity in the world. Scuba diving attracts many visitors to the island.
