Description
Build between 1160 and 1230 with later additions, Geneva's cathedral is a mixture of styles. Basically Gothic, it incorporates earlier Romanesque elements and the main portal is a 18th century addition of Neo-Classical style. In 1536 it became a Protestant church and it is famous as the home of the great reformer Jean Calvin. Detail of the left tower.
