Description
Ferns are a groups of plants that do not make seed to reproduce, but spores, and never flower. The fiddlehead is the tightly curled leaf of the fern, that unravels to produce the new leaf. It is called fiddlehead because the naturally curved shape resembles the head of the fiddle musical instrument. It is also used as a nutrient rich food source around the world, going back hundreds of years.
