Description
The Tai Hong Kong shrine on Phlap Phla Chai Road in Bangkok, was built in 1909 by Chinese merchants to pay homage to Tai Hong, a Buddhist monk who lived more than 900 years ago in Guangdong, China. He helped the poor and the sick in many places as well as assisted in the burial of the deceased with no family. The Four Heavenly Kings are Buddhist deities, each believed to watch over one cardinal direction of the world and are the protectors of the world and fighters of evil.
