Lighthouse, Stoer, Scottish Highlands Stock Image

This image shows the Stoer lighthouse building, on the cliff edge, overlooking the Atlantic ocean. Although the building is only 14 metres high, the light itself is 54 metres above sea level. It was first lit in 1870, it became automated in 1978, and is operated and monitored by the northern lighthouse board in Edinburgh.
