Coix lacryma-jobi is a type of tropical grain & x28;cereal& x29; plant from the grain or Poaceae tribe. Its origins are East Asia and Malaya but now it has spread to various parts of the world. Some varieties have edible seeds and are used as a source of carbohydrates as well as medicine. The ripe grains are wrapped in a hard structure, oval in shape and white in color.
