The Stellers Jay, Cyanocitta scelleri, is one of a half dozen animals named for Georg Steller, a German multidiscipline scientist who was working on a Russian exploration ship in Alaska. nFound along the western portion of The United States, yet they mingle with the Blue Jay of the eastern United States so much, some believe they are more then just distant cousins.nBeing a true omnivore, they eat everything from seeds and nuts to berries and eggs to small reptiles.
