At the foot of Tahtalydag mountain #239522415
Description
Tahtalydag tur. Tahtalñ Daßlarñ is a mountain near Kemer in the Western Taurus mountain system. Height above sea level - 2365 m. The name Tahtali means `plank`, `with boards` in Turkish. In ancient times, the mountain was called Olympus. The mountain dominates the landscape around Kemer. Between Antalya and Finibahce, it can be seen as the dominant peak of the Beydaglari mountain range. The proximity to the Mediterranean coast makes it visible to sailors. It is the highest mountain in the Olympos-Beydaglari park. From November to June the mountain is covered with ice and snow. In the spring, this snow is often tinted reddish by the Sahara winds, but in the summer, due to the clouds that darken the mountain, this is not often seen.
