The mountain chain you see on my picture is Piatra Craiului , a part of Southern Carpathians. r n It's a very interesting solid limestone chain of some 25 km in lenght, the highest point (La Om) is 2382 m asl. r n Here you chain see the S-E faces of. this mountain. r n The chain is isolated from Fagaras Mountains, the highest part of southern Carpathians and there are many endemic plants and animals. Also you can find there the big predators: brown bears, lynxes, and wolves, which have extinct in most European countries. r n Now the mountain are protected - is one of the new Romanian National Park
