Bush swamp. A bush bogââ¬âalso called a bush bog or button bush bogââ¬âis a type of freshwater wetland ecosystem that occurs in an area that is too wet to be a swamp & x28;& x22;true& x22; or freshwater swamp forest& x29;, but too dry or too shallow to be a swamp. They are often considered a transition & x28;& x22;mid succession& x22;& x29; between a wet meadow or swamp and a coniferous or hardwood swamp.
