Pictured is a bronze sculpture by Joe Spear titled `Ol` Rip` on the campus of Texas Christian University in Fort Worth. It was installed in 2012 and the name was chosen in a student contest won by engineering student Kyle Morales. The Texas legend of Ol` Rip says a horned frog survived after being sealed in a time capsule for 31 years in the cornerstone of the Eastland County Courthouse in 1897. Despite disbelief, the frog, named after Rip Van Winkle, became a prominent figure throughout the state, according to reports in 1928.
