Lagunaria patersonia. Pink flower blooming directly from tree trunk #241429812
Description
Lagunaria patersonia, a member of the Malvaceae family of plants, is an Australian native species that`s found, in the wild, on Norkfolk and Lord Howe Islands and in coastal Queensland. It is also found in Mallorca, Spain and all over the planet. In addition to the common name of Norfolk Island Hibiscus, it is also known as Pyramid Tree, Sally Wood, Queensland White Oak, Itchy Bomb Tree, and Cow Itch Tree. The latter names are due to the fact that the seed pods are covered in tiny hairs that can cause skin irritation.
