Ivan Reitman And Genevieve Roberrt At The National Board Of Review Awards Gala Editorial Image

Czech and Canadian filmmaker, director, producer, and screenwriter Ivan Reitman, is joined by his wife, actress and director Genevieve Robert, outdoors on a chilly January evening, as they prepare to attend the National Board of Review Awards Gala celebrating films released in 2009. The event was held at Cipriani 42nd Street in midtown Manhattan on January 12, 2010. Reitman and Sheldon Turner won the award for Best Adapted Screenplay for `Up in the Air.` Reitman directed comedies such as ``Meatballs,` `Stripes,` `Ghostbusters,` `Ghostbusters II,` `Kindergarten Cop,` `Twins,` and `Dave.` He produced such films as `Animal House,` `Space Jam,` `Beethoven,` and `Private Parts.` Reitman was married for 45 years. He died in his sleep at his home in Montecito, California, on February 12, 2022, at the age of 75.
