The Peregrine falcon, Falco peregrinus, is a true raptor found throughout most of the world. Raptors are hunters, and the Peregrine can reach speeds of 200mph, the fastest of any animal on the planet. Their most common diet is other birds, and they can be found nesting in cities on tall buildings and bridges. Falcons being raptors and natural hunters, have been used by humans in aiding in hunters going back sone 3,000 years. As seen at Stow Lake in Golden Gate Park December 2021.
