Description
The Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Savior in Uglich town was built under the leadership of Grigory Fedorov in the 1710s on the site of an ancient temple that had been demolished. The cathedral is characteristic of the Yaroslavl architecture of the 17th century. It is a five-domed temple, made in one volume, without pillars.The southern facade of the temple faces the city and is characterized by a classicist portico added in the 19th century.
