The Cathedral of the Transfiguration of the Savior in Uglich town was built under the leadership of Grigory Fedorov in the 1710s on the site of an ancient temple that had been demolished. The painting of the cathedral was made at the beginning of the 19th century, also in the style of classicism, by a group of artists headed by the serf Prince Golitsyn, Timofei Medvedev.
