Curcuma aeruginosa is a plant that can reach 2 m in height. The stems are pseudo, and are composed of a collection of wet and green leaf midribs. The leaves are reddish-brown in color which is darker along the spine. The leaves are single, long, and consist of 2-9 strands. The strands are circular in shape extending to lanceolate, the tip and base are pointed, dark green on the left and right of the leaf bones. Leaves 31–84 cm long, 10–18 cm wide.
