Lalbagh FortÃÂ & x28;alsoÃÂ Fort Aurangabad& x29; is an incomplete 17th-centuryÃÂ MughalÃÂ fort complex that stands before theÃÂ Buriganga RiverÃÂ in the southwestern part ofÃÂ Dhaka,ÃÂ Bangladesh.[1]ÃÂ The construction was started in 1678 AD byÃÂ MughalÃÂ SubahdarÃÂ Muhammad Azam Shah, who was a son of EmperorÃÂ AurangzebÃÂ and later emperor himself. His successor,ÃÂ Shaista Khan, did not continue the work, though he stayed in Dhaka up to 1688.
