Maud railway station with convict carriage, Maud, Aberdeenshire, Scotland, UK This is the railway carriage that took the Prisoners to Stirlinghill Quarry.To Stirlinghill Quay worked by the Prisoners from Peterhead Prison. That was sentenced to penal servitude at Prison. This railway carriage had 24 prisoners held in 6 cells at a time. Made stone blocks to build the Harbour Refuge to provide shelter from the storms for ships on the Aberdeenshire coast.
